US Puts Forward a 15-Year Period of Security Guarantees, States the Ukrainian Leader.
In a recent development, Ukraine's leader Zelenskyy has announced that the United States has presented a proposed peace plan encompassing security guarantees for Ukraine lasting for a period of 15 years.

President Zelenskyy indicated that in the course of significant talks with US President Donald Trump, he had sought security guarantees for as long as five decades. However, the current draft envisions a shorter assurance of 15 years from the United States.
The specifics remain undefined what form these commitments would entail, but the president has been advocating for "collective security assurances, referring to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization's core tenet that an attack on one member is treated as an attack on all.
Diplomatic Advancements
Zelenskyy has said, Washington's protection assurances for his country under the revised 20-point proposal have been completely settled, whereas Trump was more cautious, putting the figure at more like 95%.
