Patrick Bamford Joins the Blades After Initiating Derogatory Chants Targeting Manager Chris Wilder

Patrick Bamford has signed with the Championship side just half a year following instigating derogatory taunts directed at their manager, Chris Wilder.

This experienced forward, a free agent after departing from Leeds United, has put pen to paper on a deal joining the Championship club in difficulty through the winter. Bamford's lengthy spell at Elland Road concluded through agreement in August.

One of Bamford’s last memorable actions while at Leeds was to lead abusive chants about Chris Wilder amid the club’s promotion celebrations in April. Now, the former England international will be playing under Wilder as the Blades’ manager seeks to lift his beloved club out of the bottom places.

Previous History Involving the Striker & the Manager

Both men had a past before Leeds moved up back to the top flight last season while Sheffield United lost the playoff final to Sunderland. Reconciliation & Looking Ahead

All seems has been resolved with United, the league's least productive attack, urgently requiring of a boost in attack while Bamford aiming to resurrect his playing days.

The song about Wilder gained traction this spring. A repentant Bamford and the Leeds manager, Daniel Farke, phoned Wilder the following day.

Wilder said at the time: “Spoke with Pat yesterday and I’ve no problem whatsoever with it. I’m not sure about the language from a fellow pro! But I valued and admired him giving me a call.

“We had 20 minutes and similarly I talked with Daniel too and had a longer discussion with him and he's a great person, a top guy. When I was playing we used to dish it out and take it and that’s part and parcel of the game across all levels, including a Sunday morning. I have absolutely no issue. I am cool with it and I told him that to Patrick.”
