David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.

The comedian

Acclaimed young adult author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.

A representative for the company commented: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an review of claims about conduct deemed unsuitable directed at young women.

The publisher has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."

A Highly Successful Literary Career

Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, having sold more than 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.

Some of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.

He has published over four dozen titles combined, encompassing a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.

His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
