Barcelona Ready for First Game at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday

The club confirmed they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in domestic competition two and a half years since relocating for construction to commence.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch based on approved permits. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.

Stadium Testing

Barça organized an open training session at the Camp Nou in early November. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from Uefa to host the next European match facing Eintracht on 9 December at the stadium. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
